This event is for children from Preschool to 12 grade. The purpose of this event is to expose children to entrepreneurship - what it takes to run and operate a small business. The real-life application can be enhanced by you the parent! Cost analysis – How much will materials cost? How much can you realistically sell your item for? How much time will it take you to make the item? After being paid for materials and time are you making a profit? How will you display/market your item? What is the name of your business? Will you take special orders? Have kids practice a sales pitch and come up with a list of reasons why someone would want or use their product. The more confident and knowledgeable the seller is of their buyers the better they will be at selling. Your child can make something to sell or offer some kind of upgraded product. It is up to you, the parent, to assist your children with any information, products, support that is necessary. You especially want to consider this for younger children; they will need your help probably exclusively to operate the table.
If a family has 2 vendors they may choose to share one table. There are 50 spaces available this year! The deadline to sign up and pay for a table fee is November 13th. The vendor product must be submitted with your space reservation. Please wait for approval BEFORE buying or making items.
We WILL NOT allow duplicates. If one table is selling cookies and another is selling cakes that is okay. However there will be LIMITED tables for like products ie. 5 jewelry vendors provided each is offering something VERY different – beads, stones, braided hemp, kids' jewelry…..Please be very detailed in your description of the product, pictures are great. If I see a duplicate product it is 1st come 1st choice. So based on the timestamp of submission I will call/email/text if an item is declined and/or revision suggestion. If you submit an incomplete form or want to change your idea, the time of completion/change is your new time stamp so please be thorough.

Please read; Here is what you need to bring or know:
- A table card table or 6ft table and tablecloth any color you want, it is totally up to you.
- A way to display your items.
- There’s a $5 fee per vendor
- The child can make a product, resale a product (aim to modify it), or offer a service.
- Please allow your child this experience and guide them do not do it for them.
- There’s an application that you will need to submit, a big part of why we are doing this is to give the kids as much of the full experience as possible. As much as they can try to have your child fill this application out themselves.
- Have change and a place to keep your money (perhaps $20 in ones). Highly advise pricing items no less than $.50 always ending in whole dollar amount or .50 for example, $15, $2.50, 2 for $10, this will keep math and change simple for them! It can be very flustering to do math with 2 people handing you money and a customer asking questions. Help your seller set themselves up for success! You may also use electronic payments if you wish. Be sure to have payment info ready.
- Sellers are free to price their own items we’ve had $.50 and up! To increase financial success and educational experience please note the suggested questions above. BUT prices are set!!! Please don’t sell to one customer and then they hear you selling ½ price to someone else as they pass by later. SET your prices BEFORE you sell. A small tented price sign or slide show on an Ipad is always helpful to customers. You CAN barter with other vendors but cash price is cash price during sale hours.
- Please, please encourage family, church family, friends, and neighbors to come and shop from our kids whether your kids participate or not.
- Vendors MUST arrive at Canyon Ridge ready to set up at 7:30 am. I will not leave gaps of space for the public to slip behind tables. You MUST be ON TIME or your space will be closed. We will have group prayer at 8:40 am The actual event runs from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. All unsold items, trash, and tables must be removed from the vendor hall by 12:30 pm.
